Batman to be killed after 70 years???
'Batman RIP' will see "the end of Bruce Wayne as Batman", according to Grant Morrison.

There are rumours that Batman will suffer a gruesome end when his sidekick Robin goes over to "the dark side" and destroys him in a terrible betrayal.

Batman, alter ego of Bruce Wayne a wealthy industrialist, operates in the American Gotham City.

Others speculate that Wayne may either retire from his duties or be killed by a mystery villain known as the Black Glove.

My wife has been making money through her blogging. And she is quite happy with her so-called "income" from pro-blogging and has been thinking that they are tax-free. Well, not for long. Canada Revenue Agency [CRA] has been asking for information from eBay and soon Paypal to find out the other sources of income from its taxpayer and hopefully be able to tax them for this "unreported" income.

"As more Canadians buy and sell online, retailer eBay Canada says it expects to disclose information on its so-called "power sellers" to Canada Revenue Agency this week.

The release of data is in response to a ruling by the Federal Court of Appeal last April.

The court ordered eBay to turn over to the tax agency the names and gross sales figures of Canadians who earn at least $1,000 a month from online sales for three straight months.

In a recent letter to affected customers, eBay said it strenuously objects to the federal requests, but it must comply.

In 2006, Revenue Canada started looking into whether power sellers had reported all their eBay earnings on their 2004 and 2005 income taxes.

It's estimated about 32,000 Canadians make all or part of their income selling on eBay.

Meantime, many more Canadians are shopping online, with 2007 sales rising to $12.8 billion, Statistics Canada says."

My family and I love to travel... we'd rather have the basics around the house and save up for a family trip. But I would definitely think twice about flying to these cities.

Here's 5 of the 10 World's Scariest Runways...

Paro Airport, Bhutan

Why It’s Harrowing: Tucked into a tightly cropped valley and surrounded by 16,000-foot-high serrated Himalayan peaks, this is arguably the world’s most forbidding airport to fly into. It requires specially trained pilots to maneuver into this stomach-dropping aerie by employing visual flying rules and then approaching and landing through a narrow channel of vertiginous tree-covered hillsides.

Princess Juliana International Airport, St. Maarten

Why It’s Harrowing: The length of the runway—just 7,152 feet—is perfectly fine for small or medium-size jets, but as the second-busiest airport in the Eastern Caribbean, it regularly welcomes so-called heavies—long-haul wide-body jetliners like Boeing 747’s and Airbus A340’s—from Europe, which fly in improbably low over Maho Beach and skim just over the perimeter fence.

Matekane Air Strip, Lesotho

Why It’s Harrowing: Because of the diminutive 1,312-foot-long runway perched at the edge of a couloir at 7,550 feet, becoming airborne at the end of the tarmac is virtually impossible. Instead, you drop down the face of a 2,000-foot cliff until you start flying. Says bush pilot Tom Claytor, "The rule in the mountains is that it is better to take off downwind and downhill than into wind and uphill, because in Lesotho, the hills will usually out-climb you. It's a little bit hard to do the first time."

Madeira Airport, Funchal

Why It’s Harrowing: Wedged in by mountains and the Atlantic, Madeira Airport requires a clockwise approach for which pilots are specially trained. Despite a unique elevated extension that was completed back in 2000 and now expands the runway length to what should be a comfortable 9,000 feet, the approach to Runway 05 remains a hair-raising affair that pilots absolutely dread. They must first point their aircraft at the mountains and, at the last minute, bank right to align with the fast-approaching runway.

Juancho E. Yrausquin Airport, Saba, Netherlands Antilles

Why It’s Harrowing: Perched on a precipitous gale-battered peninsula on the island’s northeastern corner, the airport requires pilots to tackle blustery trade winds, occasional spindrift, and their own uneasy constitutions as they maneuver in for a perfect landing (there’s no margin for error) on a runway that’s just 1,300 feet long. "Shorting this means ending up in the cliffs," says one pilot matter-of-factly, "while overshooting it means an uncomfortable go-around. Either way, you’ll want to bring the Dramamine."

What’s on your travel itinerary in the new year? From a new luxury hotel in Laos (where you can take in the view of ancient temples from a chaise lounge by the infinity pool) to the waterfront night clubs of Hvar (the St. Tropez of Croatia) to Death Valley (where recent heavy rains have some flower bloggers speculating on a dazzling spring bloom next year), the travel choices for global nomads have never been more varied.

Here's the list of 53 places to go in 2008! - Compiled by Denny Lee
So many places to see... but from this list, I've only seen 5 places! I need to start saving up so I can see more of the world.

A Canadian boy who ran away from home after his father took away his Xbox game console has been found dead in a cornfield, local media said.

This is truly a sad story... but as a parent myself, I do restrict the time my kids spent on computer, Wii and Nintendo DS. They only get to play on weekends and after all the school works are done. My kids don't like the rules, but I just don't want them to get addicted to these electronic games.

Rest in peace Brandon.
